Arkansas took home two championship titles at the 55/65 Mixed Doubles Sectional Invitational, played Nov. 3-5, in metro Little Rock, Ark.
Arkansas defended their stomping grounds while playing at their home faculties. Central Little Rock took home two championship titles. Tennessee stood out as they swept the competition with one championship and a finalist team. Louisiana also had a championship.
There were 23 teams with approximately 230 players who competed in four levels: 55 & Over – 6.0, 7.0, 8.0 Combined and 65 & Over 7.0.
Teams consisted of at least three men and three women. Each match consisted of three courts. The combined NTRP rating of the two players on court had to equal the level’s number. Most teams began in a round-robin format with the winners of each flight being declared the champions. The 55 & Over 7.0 and 65 & Over 7.0 held a finals match on Sunday.
