Assistant Tennis Pro Wanted: The Jonesboro Country Club in Jonesboro, Arkansas is in search for a full time assistant teaching professional. This spot came open when one of our long time professionals decided to make a career change. He was with JCC for nine years and had a very loyal lesson base.
This is a full time position. The pro will teach all of our junior group lessons with the other teaching pros, and will teach private and group lessons to juniors and adults who want lessons. He/she will help with all socials, trips, tournaments, and other tennis activities, and will also work hours in the pro shop and string racquets. He should have a very outgoing, positive personality, and be very good at meeting people and building relationships. The pro should have 4.5 playing skills or higher, and be willing to get certified by the USPTA or PTR as teaching professional, and by the USTA as an umpire if they are not already certified. They will also need to pass the play safe background check from the USTA.
The pro will be compensated with a salary and health plan, a percentage of the junior lessons, private lessons, and stringing. He will also get a percentage of money from tournaments. There is a potential to make up to 60k/year if he works hard and gains the respect of our membership. A vast majority of our lessons are taught on indoor courts, so weather does not affect us much. We are looking for someone who would like to be a part or our club for the long term.
