New Location for Interim and 65 & Over Mixed State Championships

USTA Arkansas is pleased to announce that we have awarded the bid to host the USTA Interim League State Championship and 65 & Over Mixed Doubles State Championship to the Western Arkansas Tennis Association (“WATA”) in Fort Smith.  The three-day tournament, which is set for September 16-18, 2016, will be held in and around Fort Smith.  Players who attend these Championships in Fort Smith will receive goody bags and be invited to attend a player party during the weekend.

The bid submitted by WATA was in response to a USTA Arkansas solicitation for bids to host any one of four USTA League State Championships.  The solicitation was for the 2016 championship year only.

We appreciate the bids submitted this year, and we look forward to having additional submissions of bids to host 2017 league championship tournaments.  USTA Arkansas is committed to making USTA League tennis a great experience for players across the state.
