The Arkansas Junior Tennis Council, chaired by Dr. Rick Jackson, provided a Player Development Training for sixteen of our top junior players. The training was held on March 15 & 16 at Burns Park Tennis Center. All the players were enthusiastic and worked very hard---and they had a lot of fun!
The training was led by Karl Davies who currently works for USTA Southern as a Tennis Service Representative for Tennessee. Karl has an extensive coaching resume which includes holding the highest ITF coaching certification (Level 3) and having worked as an ITF Development Officer.
Assisting Karl with the training were Jordan Smith (Racquet Club of Memphis), Sergio Ramirez (Country Club of Little Rock), and Gray Colton (Rebsamen Tennis Center).
USTA Arkansas and the Arkansas Junior Tennis Council want to thank the coaches, players, and parents for supporting this training and we hope to provide more opportunities like this for our junior players.
